Exhaust cut out valve
Exhaust cut out valve
There are exhaust dampers here to be able to redirect/open to another path in the exhaust system.
This can be pursued when you want to reduce the "back pressure" in the exhaust system and achieve maximum power in your system.

An exhaust cutout valve is a mechanical device that is installed in the exhaust system of a vehicle. It allows the driver to selectively open or close off the exhaust flow, allowing the engine to produce more power and noise.
The valve is typically controlled by a switch or button inside the vehicle, and can be opened or closed as desired. Exhaust cutout valves are often used in racing and performance driving, as they allow the driver to bypass the muffler and exhaust system for a louder and more aggressive sound.
It also increase horsepower and torque by allowing the exhaust gases to flow more freely.
Exhaust cut-out valve is leaking a bit
When you have just installed the exhaust cut-out valve, it may leak a little. After you have driven for a while, soot forms. This seals the small leak. The same applies to joints in an exhaust system, soot will seal small leaks.
