Fuel pump hanger connections.
Outlet / Feed
The outlet leads the fuel to the injector/engine and often has an AN-thread for flexible connection.
Inlet / Return
The inlet returns excess fuel from the engine and often has an AN-thread for flexible connection.
Electrical connection
One or more connections may be provided to supply fuel pumps with power. When several connections are used, separate control of several fuel pumps is allowed.
One or more fuel pumps
Mountings for at least one fuel pump are usually available. Support for multiple fuel pumps is also common. If you are only going to use one fuel pump but have sockets for several, remember to plug in the others.
Built-in catch tank
Built-in fuel surge tanks can be provided as an alternative to externally mounted fuel catch tanks.
Fuel tank ventilation
Tank ventilation can be integrated into the fuel pump hanger. However, if it is not integrated, then ventilation is mounted to the fuel tank, which is generally designed for this purpose. In case there is ventilation in both the tank and the hanger, you should plug one of them.
Refuelling
Connection for fuel filling is sometimes integrated. If not, fuel is topped up in the fuel tank connection. If there is fuel filling connections in both the tank and the fixture, one of these is plugged.
Fuel level sensor
Sockets for fuel level sensor may be present. If the outlet is available in both the tank and the hanger, plug the one that is not in use. If this function is not used, both are plugged.
