This short shifter is designed to be compatible with original shift cables for several different transmissions. However, cables must be rerouted to go through the car’s interior. This is an ideal solution for race cars without a finished interior, as the tunnel hole can easily be sealed, and the cables are much safer when routed inside the car.
It fits perfectly with all 02M, 02Q, and 02J transmissions, whether 5- or 6-speed cable-controlled models. If your cable ends have the same diameter, this model works excellently. If the cables have two different sizes, you’ll need another model designed for 02A and early 02J transmissions, which we also offer. (RV-02ATM-BK)
